Renewable Energy

Solar, micro-hydro and biogas technologies provide rural communities with a clean, homegrown power source.

Rural communities along the Thailand-Burma border face continuing challenges to accessing grid power. BGET helps these remote villages tap into local, renewable resources to generate thier own energy. BGET is involved at all stages of the process including site evaluation, system design, installation and maintenance.

We employ 4 primary technologies as follows:

Solar PV: Converting sunlight into electricity, photovolatics provide electricity to migrant schools, rural homes and remote medical clinics inside Burma.

Solar Thermal: Perfect for Thailand's tropical climate, the use of solar thermal technology helps minimize the burning of fossil fuels to heat water.

Micro-Hydro: Abundant water resources along the mountainous Thailand-Burma border, make this a great renewable technology that can provide power around the clock.

Biogas: By recycling animal and kitchen waste, rural communities can generate and capture thier own methane gas for use as cooking fuel.
